Empowering Future Creators: Highlights from the ‘Crack The Metaverse’ Training at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
On August 14th, The Sandbox Vietnam hosted a dynamic and enriching training session titled “Crack The Metaverse” at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. This event marked a significant milestone in preparing the next generation of creators for the exciting world of the Metaverse. Participants gained valuable insights and hands-on experience in this emerging virtual space.
The session was characterized by its engaging and interactive format, offering a blend of fun and education. Attendees were introduced to The Sandbox platform, learning how to use essential tools like VoxEdit and GameMaker to create virtual assets and immersive gaming experiences. The workshops were designed to be practical and informative, ensuring that participants could effectively apply their new skills.
A major focus of the event was on fostering creative thinking and enhancing game design skills. Through a series of hands-on exercises and collaborative activities, participants developed their ability to design and build unique experiences within the Metaverse. This approach not only equipped them with technical know-how but also encouraged innovative problem-solving and creativity.
The students engaged in lively discussions and exchanges during the hands-on sessions, creating a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere. Enthusiasm was palpable as each participant worked on their initial projects, eagerly applying the techniques they had learned. Under the guidance of The Sandbox training team, they explored their creativity, experimenting with different tools and approaches. The excitement was evident as students shared their progress, offered feedback to one another, and celebrated their first achievements. This dynamic interaction not only enhanced their learning experience but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose among the attendees.
Minh Ngoc, a student from the Faculty of Information Technology at HUTECH, shared: “This was a fantastic opportunity for me to explore the Metaverse. The speakers’ insights were very useful, and I was given detailed guidance on how to start creating with The Sandbox.”
After completing the initial lessons, Mr. Quang Huy also felt very excited to start working with The Sandbox: “The techniques I learned today, such as how to create assets using VoxEdit and design thinking, although simple, will help me begin to reap the benefits of creativity.”
Upon completing the training, each participant received a certificate of achievement, recognizing their dedication and new expertise. This certification marks a significant accomplishment and prepares them to contribute meaningfully to the Metaverse community. Additionally, the event included exciting prize giveaways, further enriching the experience.
